Students discovering the Dolomites as a UNESCO World Heritage site, supported by mountain professionals.
“The UNESCO seeks to encourage the identification, protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value of humanity. This is embodied in an international treaty called the Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, adopted by UNESCO in 1972”.
A project to bring children closer to the “mountains”, a territory that offers many ideas for further study and for the hands-on experience of topics discussed in the classroom. Students are accompanied on an exploration journey of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in which they are the protagonists, supported by professionals who generously share their skills and knowledge of the area.
PROPOSED PROGRAMS
All the programs proposed can be made on trips lasting for one or more days.
- Safety in the mountains
- Geomorphology, cartography and orientation
- Flora, fauna and didactic orienteering
- History: The Great War, places and stories
- In the footsteps of the Dolomites: footprints and findings
Each excursion will be tailor-made for the class, both regarding duration (one or more days) and content, with the aim of satisfying the needs and desires of the teachers so that the Program best integrates with the school curriculum and is appropriate to the age and aptitudes of the students.
